The fourth bi-annual T-Series & P250 Nationals was held in Bathurst, NSW.  Summed up below by Martin Goff, the club’s President.

“What an absolutely spectacular event that just took place. We were blessed with some fantastic weather and didn’t we take advantage of that. The quality of the T Series vehicles entered and on display for the Show & Shine was to say the least ‘OUTSTANDING’ and a real credit to all of the owners. 26 T Series and 1 pursuit 250 attended.

Taking a moment now to absorb and process this event, I take away a great deal of pride as being the 1st president of this awesome T Series club. The comradery and respect shown toward each other is humbling, as we all are on the same page as how we expect this club to be.

A massive thank you to our Nationals committee, Dave McInerney and Maurie Luksich, for their great work, these guys with myself have met and spoken constantly on the lead up to and during the event and also to our wives for putting up with us.

Another thank you to the “NORMAL” T Series Club Of Australia Committee members , they have supported and backed this event 110 % and for that I am always grateful ….Cheers guys.

Thank you also the Jeff D for the “Outstanding trophies” for the “People Choice” and the appreciation plague for Supercheap Auto Store at Kelso/Bathurst..
To the sponsors, Supercheap Auto Kelso, for allowing us use of their car park and rear parking area to have our Show & Shine. To Gabriel, Autolite, Gulf Western Oil, Liqui Moly and Meguiars for all the merchandise for the goodies bags and raffles.

To my sons Joel and Matthew for designing and printing entrant stickers and posters and an extra thank you to Joel for bringing along the BBQ Landau, which with the members/entrants help, we cooked up some delicious sausage sandwiches and raised money for the club, thank you all for the help.

The scheduling we had set out for the Nationals was just about spot on. With a good variety of exciting drives to enjoy these cars to their full potential and also with the catered meals of lunch and dinner were well received.
Bathurst, as we know, holds a special place in Australian motor racing history and for the T Series Nationals being held here, I seriously can’t think of a better place.

Fantastic to catch up with old friends and of course making new ones. Lots of laughter and beverages were a big part of this event. To watch the interaction of you all was very rewarding, as I feel that we, the committee, are doing our best to accommodate you, the members. We kindly ask that you take the time to fill out the feedback form in the information booklet and send it to us. This would be greatly appreciated.

A massive thank you to Scott from Unique Cars magazine for coming along and taking photos and talking to the members about their passion for these magnificent hand built machines. We are all looking forward to a great article on this Nationals event.

Driving around the Mt Panorama track with 20 other T’s was an epic sight to see and no doubt that there are hundreds of photos to be viewed in the next days and weeks to come.

The formal dinner was a great success with 42 people attending and a fantastic time had with friendly banter and a bit of trivia with prizes for correct answers and raffle raising much needed funds for the club. Again thank you all for your support.

To sum up, we came, we saw, we conquered the ‘mountain’ and everyone enjoyed each others company and vehicles.

Once again a big thank you to Maurie and Dave and our families for all the help and support leading up to and during this Nationals event.

Cheers,
Martin, El Presidente
